Dr. Kamala Anand Maladkar
is a consultant Gynecologist and
Obstetrician, first female physician of the
Bhavsar Samaj in Mysore State in 1951. She
is a solo practitioner and owner of
Kamalanand Hospital, OB-GYN Nursing home in
Davanagere, Karnataka State. Born to parents
Sri Gaddale Seshappa and Smt. Laxmi Bai she
is married to Dr. Ananda Rao Maladkar,
Associated Professor of Radiology.
Maladkars visited United States in 2007 to
spend time with their two sons Dr. Sashi A.
M. Kurmar, a pediatrician and Dr. Madan
Ananda Rao Maladkar, an internist, both
practicing in Alabama. Currently she is
settled in Hubli, with her third son Mr. M.
Vijayakumar.
